Aishwarya's dedication to children's mental health stems from a powerful combination of academic background and real-world experience. With a Master's in Public Health from the University of New Haven and a foundation in Psychology, she sees children's well-being through the lens of social determinants of health.
A firm believer in policy's ability to shape a better future, Aishwarya actively works on creating positive change. Her experience as Senior Project Manager for the Transforming Children's Behavioral Health Policy and Planning Committee at the Tow Youth Justice Institute is a testament to this. In this role, she played a key part in designing and implementing policies that improve children's behavioral health outcomes.
Aishwarya's commitment goes beyond policymaking. Her experience providing Intensive In-home therapy at Advocates Inc. and her fellowship providing mental health services in rural India instilled in her a deep understanding of policy's impact on communities. She is passionate about advocating for systemic change, particularly for sustainable and efficient solutions that empower people and improve children's behavioral health.
Her expertise and passion extend beyond her professional roles. She actively contributes to the American Public Health Association's Mental Health Policy and Planning Writing Committee. Additionally, her research experience as a We Embody Research Fellow at the University of New Haven demonstrates her commitment to advancing knowledge in this critical field. Aishwarya is a powerful advocate for children's mental health, combining a strong academic foundation with practical experience and a passion for policy-driven change.
